MBHEC and the Institute for Development Impact – I4DI were among the supporting partners of the European Union’s Circular Economy Forum, held yesterday in Annapolis and convened by the European Union Delegation to the United States, the State of Maryland, and the City of Annapolis, MD.
The event opened with remarks from Gov. Wes Moore and Ambassador Jovita Neliupšienė, who set the tone for a day focused on how circular design, innovation, and finance can drive competitiveness and sustainability.
- Co-founder of MBHEC and CEO of I4DI, spoke about how better data can strengthen investor confidence and credit ratings by turning circular economy insights into decision intelligence. Her core message: circular finance becomes investable when data moves beyond compliance reporting to reveal what truly drives performance, value, and risk. That requires:
Credible and verifiable data - Institutions capable of interpreting and managing it
- Financing models that reward measurable results
- Investment strategies grounded in clear performance logic
The Forum highlighted circular economy as an industrial and financial transformation that links efficiency, transparency, and measurable outcomes to long-term resilience and competitiveness.
