The partnership between the U.S. Army and the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, built through years of cooperation under the State Partnership Program, continues to evolve in meaningful ways. This week marks an important step forward.
On the ground in Sarajevo, 41 members of the Maryland National Guard have arrived to take part in the largest joint training event held in Bosnia and Herzegovina since the partnership began. Over the coming days, Maryland troops will train alongside their Bosnian counterparts to prepare for the upcoming Defender Europe 25 exercise, which will take place in Croatia.
