MBHEC Presents Civil Cooperation Platform to Maryland National Guard, Celebrating 21 Years of State Partnership Program

The Maryland Bosnia and Herzegovina Exchange Council (MBHEC) convened a meeting today, hosting a delegation from the Maryland National Guard and the State Partnership Program Directorate. The delegation included notable figures such as Brigadier General Amy Kremser, Director Joint Staff; Colonel David Paolucci, Chief of Staff, Joint Staff; Colonel Marci Sam, State Staff Judge Advocate; Major Elise Dent, MDNG State Partnership Program Director; and Major Le Phuoc, MDNG State Partnership Program Coordinator. LTC Admir Jusupovic, Liaison Officer to the State of Maryland & MDARNG, Assistant Defense, Military, Navy, and Air Attaché at The Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the USA, also participated in the discussions.

The purpose of the meeting was multifaceted. Firstly, the delegation was briefed on the achievements stemming from civil-civil cooperation between Maryland and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Additionally, there were discussions about the future plans for the MBHEC platform and the prospective development of partnerships across all sectors of society in both countries.

In expressing gratitude for the 21 years of collaboration between the MDNG and the armed forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina under the SPP Program, the MBHEC highlighted the crucial role this collaboration has played. This longstanding cooperation has fostered excellent relations and laid the foundation for the emergence of multidisciplinary and multisectoral cooperation between all segments of society and institutions in both Maryland and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
