MBHEC Board Member Adnan Hadrović Honored by the City of Sarajevo

Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, August 12, 2026 – The Maryland-Bosnia and Herzegovina Exchange Council is honored to share that our Board Member, Adnan Hadrović, was presented with the City of Sarajevo’s Certificate of Appreciation by Mayor Samir Avdić on August 12 at Vijećnica, in recognition of his outstanding contribution to strengthening international cooperation between the United States and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The certificate acknowledged Adnan’s work building international partnerships through MBHEC, with particular emphasis on “Bosnia and Herzegovina Days in Maryland”,  a platform that has connected institutions, academia, and the business communities of both countries.

“The City of Sarajevo values Hadrović’s contribution to promoting Sarajevo on the international stage, and to strengthening ties between the United States and our homeland,” said Mayor Avdić.

Through Adnan’s engagement, the City noted, numerous contacts have been established and new avenues for cooperation opened, further connecting institutions and business communities across the U.S. and BiH.

MBHEC congratulates Adnan on this well-deserved recognition and thanks him for his continued leadership in advancing U.S.–BiH relations.
